Is the inside/outside animals referring to the ascendant? I have one book on Chinese astrology that explains three animal facets to everyone. The year/time of day/time of year. For me I was born in the year of the tiger, the hours of the snake and time of year (sun sign) tiger.

This is not at all accurate! In order to truly know and understand your fate cycle in 2010 of your chinese astrological patron, you first need to discover your Bai Zi 4P destiny chart. Example: Not all horses will have the same fate in 2010.

2009 (so was 1997) was a s*** year for me.. I am surprised that Ox ppl will get better deal in my year :)
I am tiger.. I shall be going to be 36 so I do have some experience about chinese years... I have to say that as per norm it may look like a disaster year (yes it was so for me in 1986 when I met with accident and almost died and repeat in 1998)... but it wud be best years for tiger ppl if you consider the excitement.. its like you are winning the really big game and enjoing it.. but you find that the end is not what you expected and were sure about.. but nevertheless you wud enjoy the high decibel game.! good luck to all.
our fate depends so much on how we've worked it. JUST lean on to the most powerful, the HEAVENLY FATHER. HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL -ROOSTER
Dear Dog, don't be sad, just browse all the fengshui masters comments online you will find they are conflicting each other. Don't let them pull you down and designate your future. It is all in your hands, not fengshui's. Fight it. I am a Chinese and I think some predictions are very demoralizing. sorry to say. Every one should tell the person next to you, "you can do it no matter what others say".
im chinese
1968---Monkey
1962--Tiger
I am an Ox and my husband is a horse. We have conflicts off and on. Looks like it is going to be more on than off this year. I am on a crossroad trying to decide what to do with my work. My husband, the horse, tends to overfeed himself. Wow, this prediction is so close to reality, it is downright scary.
Forgot to mention that we are traveling to German and France this year, and I was thinking about taking French.... wow, I think the author of this site really knows what he/she is talkin about...
Just beleive In God, have faith in him the almighty and that will be fine.
i think what matters most is your hard work to get you on your luky place.......

Great hub SunS :) When studying Chinese Astrology, I found it extremely important to consider both one's inside and outside animal. Without the benefit of the balance (Yin/Yang), much remained misunderstood and possibly misguided. None-the-less, appreciate the reminder :)
